- Assist the general ledger team with month-end close, including recording daily transactions to ensure reliable application of accounting policies under US GAAP, including identifying areas to refine policies and procedures as needed.
- Prepare journal entries for cash, prepayments, inventory, CIP / fixed assets / depreciation, intangibles / amortization, leases, expense account allocations, reclassifications, and others.
- Record vendor accruals (experience onboarding users to Gappify or similar systems a plus).
- Maintain audit ready records and reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and support the year-end financial statement audit.
- Scale processes, including NetSuite automations for cash transactions and other projects.
- Serve as the cross-functional liaison for business partners in FP&A, Legal, Marketing, and other departments.
- Own other ad-hoc optimization projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.
- Required in-office 2 days on Monday and Wednesday.
- Proficient with accounting systems (e.g. NetSuite), US GAAP, and day-to-day accounting operations.
- Several years of experience closing the books in a timely and efficient manner.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including synchronous interactions with others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.
- Results driven, professionally curious, and flexible.
- Experience in public accounting or at a public company.
- CPA or CPA candidate.
- Demonstrated comfort in a high growth startup environment.
