    Description

    Senior Accountant - Due to growth In office daily reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting accounting processes for the organization.

    Responsibilities include month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, cash reconciliations and reporting, cash receipts, reviewing recurring activity invoices, and supporting both financial and compliance audits and reporting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare assigned month-end journal entries.
    • Prepare and maintain accrual and deferral activities, as assigned.
    • Prepare and follow up on assigned balance sheet reconciliations and roll forward schedules.
    • Perform and follow up on assigned variance analyses.
    • Review assigned invoice activity for proper cost center and GL coding.
    • Support assigned compliance reporting, such as property tax exemptions, personal property tax filing, debt covenant reporting, DOE single audit.
    • Other financial projects and tasks as assigned by the Controller or VP Finance.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required
    • Any non-profit and/or higher education experience a plus
    • Any experience with Financial Edge a plus
    • Public accounting and CPA a plus
