    Description


    GLIDE is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance and Accounting team who is a team player and has great communication skills.

    This position plays a significant role in many aspects of accounting operations, including processing of accounts payable and cash receipts, credit card reconciliations, entering daily transactional activity and journal entries, monitoring accounts and preparing reconciliation.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:


    Ensures month-end closing on the 5th of each month, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, fixed assets, capital expenditures and related entity transactionsPrepares weekly cash reportReviews and posts payroll and related entries timely onto Sage Intacct and reconciles payroll liabilities monthlyAnalyzes balance sheet accounts by creating monthly schedules reconciling to general ledgerReviews and verifies accurate and complete accounting of revenue and fundraising supportValidates expenses are charged to appropriate line items allowed by contractual obligationsImplements proper accounting methods, policies, adhering to Fiscal policies and funding requirementsImproves systems and procedures and initiate corrective actionsMaintains accounting, billing records and contract compliance calendar Leads annual 1099 MISC/NEC tax reportingSubmits annual state compliance reports (hazardous waste, environmental fees, welfare tax benefit exemption, sales taxes on UBIPrepares reconciliation for all bank accounts and obligationsSupports the controller on day-to-day supervision of all accounting transactions - invoice and expenses, deposits and receipts, billings and collectionsPrepares journal entries for accruals and deferrals as needed (i.e., salaries, PTO, depreciation, insurance, security rent deposits, contract advances, settlements)Supports the Sr.

    Director and the Controller in quarterly fiscal management training and continuous process improvementSupports the controller in all contract reviews and audits as well as leading the annual financial-single auditsOther projects & tasks as assigned by the Controller and/or Sr.


    Director of FinanceQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:


    Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required5-7 years of progressive working experience a full cycle accountant with operating budget of $20+ millionAdvanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databasesExperience with social-service/community based nonprofits or mental health counseling or case management setting is highly desirable.
