    JOB SUMMARY:

    Under general direction, the role involves planning, assigning, directing, and coordinating activities at recreation centers.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Ability to oversee and organize a multipurpose facility and staff to cater to various public programs and services, ensuring a safe environment for customers and managing financial processes.
    • Effective supervision of facility maintenance, hiring and training of employees, and setting work standards.
    • Operating computer systems, analyzing budgetary measures, and facilitating process improvements.

    OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Utilizing recreation activities principles, supervision techniques, and marketing strategies.
    • Skills in communication, office management, and managing multiple tasks.
    • Ability to plan, organize, and evaluate recreational programs and develop solutions to customer service requests.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Skills and knowledge in recreation activities, supervision, marketing, and ADA compliance.
    • Oral and written communication skills, office management principles, and managing a customer-oriented staff.
    • Ability to determine facility maintenance needs, citizen requirements, and physical skills.
    • Competency in financial record-keeping, problem-solving, and operating office equipment.
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus three years of experience, including two years in a supervisory role. Must hold a valid Texas Operator's License, Class C.
    • Must pass pre-employment testing: Criminal Background Check, Drug/Alcohol Testing, Physical and Motor Vehicle Evaluation.
