    **Description**

    The primary responsibility of the Branch Manager is to establish and increase the Banks market position and achieve deposit growth. Additionally, the Branch Manager's responsibilities include:

    Build key customer relationships, identify and close new business opportunities,

    Maintain knowledge of current market conditions, competition and oversee retail branch service levels, operations, compliance and security.

    Develop a pipeline of new business by prospecting for new clients through networking, cold calling, and building referral relationships and branding the Bank within the community.

    Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients.

    Develop a rapport with new clients, set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship.

    Provide leadership, business development training, coaching and mentoring to their staff and be an advocate for all branch business initiatives

    Ambition and Energy are required for this position.

    Business Development, Time Management and Communication (verbal and written) skills are required for this position.

    Networking and prospecting skills are required for this position.

    Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required for this position.

    Demonstrates highest standards of personal and professional integrity, adheres to companys policies and procedures, and complies with applicable laws, government rules and regulations.

    Assure the branch is opened and closed during approved operating hours.

    Create branch employee schedules and assure approved staffing levels are met during business hours.

    Provide scheduled and ad hoc training for branch staff specific to; individual positions, bank services, bank policies, bank products, compliance and security.

    Conduct weekly employee one on one meetings and monthly branch sales meetings.

    Participate in outside business development activities.

    Build a pipeline of business and referrals for branch and other bank internal lines of business

    Plan, organize, attend or participate in outside sales meetings, networking events, chamber and community events.

    Meet branch and personal sales goals.

    When required, assist branch staff within their responsibilities including, but not limited to, cashing checks, depositing cash & checks, transferring funds, retirement savings deposits, mail deposits, loan payments, redeeming savings bonds, balancing vault and balancing ATM, greet customers, answer phones, respond to questions, resolve customer issues and perform account maintenance and Notary or Medallion Services for customers.

    Assure branch audits are completed.

    Set performance goals, motivate, mentor, coach, write and administer performance reviews and provide performance counseling.

    Assure branch staff have the materials, training and knowledge to service all customers.

    Make recommendations for branch staff promotions, disciplinary actions and termination.

    Conduct employment interviews and hire new staff.

    Work at other branch location when requested.
