Job Summary
Provide expert level support and troubleshooting for all PTS IT technology systems. Lends industry leading knowledge on coding and programming to assist in the future growth of the department. Primary point of contact and subject matter expert for Parking and Transportation IT systems. Responsible for maintenance, administration, process creation, documentation and department reporting needs of systems. Review department controls and operating procedures making recommendations. Advocate for, develop and administer new systems and procedures. Vendor liaisons ensuring systems meet ongoing IT needs. Create and manage project plans for assigned projects.
Provide analysis for complex budget, funding, financial, or academic data, systems and resource projects working directly with internal and external constituents.
Job Duties:
25% Provide advanced oversight, maintenance and daily administration for PTS's technology systems, including but not limited to, T2, LPR, parking occupancy and access controls.
25% Support departmental technology and infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve any advanced technical anomalies through coordination with central ITS. Provide support for designing, managing and implementing electronic reports along with more advanced troubleshooting. Responsible for configuring and maintaining all technical reports for the department.
15% Configure and monitor logs related to system integration. Responsible for creating and maintaining database tables, views and stored procedures for back-end report functionality.
Responsible for maintenance activities such as equipment and software inventory, advanced complex tickets, network troubleshooting and advanced level hardware and software installation.

Provide leadership and establish direction and management of a wide variety of transportation IT initiatives and projects while ensuring existing systems are operating optimally.
Develop proposals on issues to include problem identification, costs, benefits, and options. Research and summarize best practices in field. Stay apprised of promising new technologies. Collaborate with management to develop strategic planning of short or long range goals and objectives. Oversee training for users in new procedures and systems as well as training new staff members.15% Develop and advocate solutions to department issues. Develop and administer new systems, policies, processes and rules. Establish goals and guidelines to respond to technical advancements and departmental needs. Review and analyze department controls to confirm each process runs optimally. Provide analysis for complex financial or academic data, systems and resource projects with internal and external constituents. Proposes, leads and/or participates on policy,strategy and planning committees and working groups. Provide cross-functional analytical support to the department to develop SOP and procedures. Maintain high level of proficiency and updated skills. Develop and coordinate policy and program communication.
