    Description


    As the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the End to End supply chain operations within the organization.

    You will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategies to ensure the efficient and effective flow of goods, materials, and information throughout the entire supply chain network.

    Operations cover sourcing, planning, manufacturing, distribution and aftermarket. This position reports to SVP Global Operations, residing in Sweden.

    The manufacturing operation covers 1.3 million square feet and a non-union workforce of 1,000 employees and manufactures products such as lawn tractors, zero turn radius mowers and specialty turf equipment.

    The Head of Operations must be a "change agent" and lead/drive transformation programs and quality improvement programs.

    Your leadership will drive collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence and enhance overall business performance.

    This position will provide leadership for all US and Canada supply chain activities.

    What You Need to Know:

    • As part of Global Operations, develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with Husqvarna's overall goals and objectives.
    • Lead the demand planning and S&OP operations to ensure a high level of Delivery accuracy for both the short and long term
    • Oversee the management of company-owned and third-party warehousing facilities, ensuring efficient storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
    • Optimize transportation and distribution networks to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods
    • Lead ongoing efforts to achieve continuous improvement of Operations through evaluation of new technologies and industry best practices.
    • Provide for and drive an effective lean manufacturing operations environment stressing employee involvement, customer service, and overall productivity.
    • Provide for prudent investment into training, capital equipment, and technology development to assure organizational, manufacturing and supply chain leadership.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions in Operations and supply chain
    • Drive engagement by building and developing a high-performance team that consistently delivers Supply Chain KPIs.
    • Assure that products and processes are competitive regarding cost, performance, and quality and Operations activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, implementing innovative solutions to enhance supply chain processes.
    • Function as a change agent, and aggressively challenge long standing principles and paradigms to drive cost reductions and enhanced performance
    • Driving continuous improvement as well as transformation programs
    • Develop and manage internal operating budgets
    • Apply world class benchmarks and operating objectives for key indicators and success factors.
    • Assure that Environmental, Health, and Safety standards are kept at the highest standards considering local regulations, brand policy, and good corporate citizenship.
    • Ensure a positive work environment and become instrumental in team building
    • Provide an environment to maintain and attract talent and a motivated workforce

    What We Are Looking For:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; MBA preferred
    • Minimum of 10+ years in similar roles with an emphasis on continuous improvement
    • Diverse plant experience - startup, closure, integration, and product transition
    • Significant employee relations and workforce motivation/involvement experience
    • Demonstrated track record in successfully implementing and driving LEAN, continuous improvement programs and transformational initiatives
    • Strong collaborative leadership with clear succession capability
    • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading in a fast paced, complex multi-site environment
    • Clear ability to assess and develop talent while creating an environment of accountability
    • Ability to work with engineering and business leaders to establish long term strategies and targets for improving service (quality & delivery) and reducing costs
    • Significant financial acumen
