Senior Sales Manager – Commercial SalesPurpose and Scope/General Summary :
The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for sales across multiple processing facilities.
This position will lead a team of approximately 8 team members and be a leader in the Commercial Sales business unit.
Responsibilities :
Lead & develop inside sales team channel of approximately 8 team members
Manage sales for all accounts in customer channel (Retail, Foodservice, Key Accounts)
Develop relationships with key customers within the sales channel
Thorough understanding of market conditions, trends and competitive price strategies
Communicate market information inside the team and across the business
Coordinate/communicate effectively with peer sales directors
Work daily with margin management to maximize sales value
Work closely with other department leads including supply chain, pricing, finance/credit.
Supports and contributes to the effective management of product inventory (old age, push sheets and freight maximization)
Use analytical skills to develop strategic sales channel plans
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Bachelor degree
Experience in protein sales required (beef, pork, chicken, etc.)
Ability to develop and execute both short and long term sales plans and programs to ensure profitability and growth.
Strong communication skills
Highly organized and effective problem solving and decision-making skills
Previous successful leadership experience
Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
