    Description

    The mining product engineering support department directly supports the way of work of capital product engineering teams. The team is comprised of several support functions and is the primary group responsible for improving processes, tools, and efficiency for the globally based industrial machinery engineering groups. A primary goal of the role is to improve the day to day work process of others.

    Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage technical programs from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, IT, project management, and other stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage project teams, including engineers, developers, designers, and process owners, to optimize resource utilization and ensure project success.
  • Maintain visibility on forecasted demand and plan capacity and resource allocation accordingly.
  • Plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within budget constraints.
  • Communicate program and project progress, risks, and issues effectively to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Draft and communicate the product engineering way of work roadmap to the organization, outlining key initiatives and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics to measure the effectiveness of product engineering processes and initiatives.
  • Work closely with engineering management to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the product engineering teams, promoting innovation and learning.

    • What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical program and project management, with a track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Strong technical background and deep understanding of engineering processes and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience.
