Pay Range: $32, $35,246.60

About Us: Established in 1975 by an act of the Virginia General Assembly, the Capital Region Airport Commission owns and operates Richmond International Airport (RIC). The Commission directs the growth, operation and business activities of RIC and works tirelessly to ensure it continues to be an affordable option for local, regional, and out-of-state travelers.

Internship Description

The Capital Region Airport Commission is seeking a personable and highly motivated HR intern to support the HR team in day-to-day administrative tasks and activities.

If you're ready to start your career in Human Resources and build real-world experience with recruiting, employee development, and the coordination of HR policies and procedures, this is the internship for you.

Open to: Undergraduate freshman, sophomores, juniors, or seniors and graduate students

Majors/fields: Business Majors

When: 12-week program from mid-May or June

Must be able to work up to 26 hours per week, internship is on-site only

Duties and Responsibilities

Post new positions on websites and job boards
Assist with screening resumes and applications
Coordinate interviews
Collect and update our database with new hire information (e.g. employment forms and contact information)
Proofread HR documents
Track progress, priorities, and deadlines of various projects

Requirements

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and resume databases
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
