    Job Description Salary:
    $50-$60k base + commission

    Summary:
    The Business Development Manager is a crucial role on the Br8kthru team. We're looking for someone to represent Br8kthru in the marketplace, serving as a community connector, relationship-builder + marketing consultant.

    This role is grounded in business development and will help lead business development efforts as part of the Account Services team.

    Mission

    Identify opportunities in the market to generate profitable + sustainable revenue for the company, while developing a Michelin-Star Standards approach to sales.

    Grow and refine digital marketing acumen to better position Br8kthru to potential Clients.

    Role-Based Competencies
    Sales-driven: the ability to identify opportunities, overcome objections + close deals
    Self-starter: the ability to manage time well and prioritize appropriately to achieve sales + retention goals
    Process-oriented: ensure SOPs are created, implemented + sustained to 'capture the ordinary + elevate the sublime'

    Marketing + technology acumen:
    possess intimate + evolving knowledge of digital marketing trends, supporting Br8kthru's position as a thought leader + elevating the strategic efforts of the team

    Critical Accountabilities
    Identify, scope, negotiate + close new business opportunities + consultative marketing services
    Lead the creation of Client pitches, strategy briefs + proposals—in collaboration with internal teams as needed
    Achieve monthly sales goals, including tracking + reporting on sales pipeline + Client opportunities

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
    Business Development

    Sales pipeline development, forecasting + revenue

    Net New Accounts
    Revenue

    Responsibilities + Areas of Focus
    Consult, advise, + develop opportunities based on our service offerings with new


    Clients, including:
    Digital marketing — content strategy + creation, email marketing, social, SEO, paid media + analytics
    Engineering — custom web development, mobile applications, UX + UI design + other tech services
    Strategy + consulting — branding + positioning, insights + analysis, market analysis + segmentation

    Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction + deepen client relationships
    Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application on client engagements

    Continually work to deepen + expand your own understanding of our service offerings
    Attend at least one (1) industry event per week (marketing, healthcare, manufacturing, B2B, etc.).
    Read at least one (1) book per month related to digital marketing or other aspects of this role

    Work (aka hustle) at least 40 hours per week to achieve greatness as a Business Development Manager and help grow + develop our company, Clients and capabilities
    Assist in Br8kthru's inbound marketing efforts

    Be active on social media to aid in social selling efforts
    Share a point of view or share/amplify Br8kthru's point of view
    Assist in thought leadership on behalf of Br8kthru

    Help develop content or editorial calendars for Br8kthru to produce that support our inbound efforts

    Support internal business process development + streamlining operations
    Assist with strategic account management

    Support Account Strategists in timely and complete client + project handoffs
    Assist in ensuring current projects are on-strategy, and help with refining and/or defining a long-term roadmap, including additional projects and Br8kthru services
