    The Product Support Group Engineer supports the TruLaser Center 7030 is TRUMPF ́s most advanced laser cutting system and provides a one stop solution for autonomous cutting, sorting and stacking of sheet metal parts.

    The Product Support Engineer has a thorough understanding of the TruLaser Center and is resolving operational and technical problems for customers and Field Service Engineers remotely by utilizing proper diagnostic resources.

    Close collaboration with our on site team as well as the international support teams in Germany and Switzerland is daily routine.

    The service team is based is in our Smart Factory Chicago. Welcome to the next generation

    Product Support Engineer Responsibilities

    Provide exceptional customer service and be part of an international product support team.
    Approximately 75% of time will be focused remote support assisting both customers and Field Service Engineers.
    Up to 25% of field service support, attending training classes or hosting training classes will be required.
    Travel is required through North America.
    Work with service supervisor for coordinating correct field support.
    Understand technical documentation, spare parts cataloge ETK, schematics, drawings, fluid plans, 3D CAD models.
    Utilize SIS Software system to correctly create and enter mission data as well as case documentation.
    Update and close cases/missions upon review and completion of service calls.
    Use SAP software and other computer skills like MS Office, Teams, Confluence.
    Maintain communication with customers, Field Service Engineers and TRUMPF personnel in a professional manner.
    Utilize remote diagnostics tools like Visual Online Support / Smart Glasses to assist and help fix customer machines.
    Support creation and improvement of documentation and processes within the international TruLaser Center teams.
    Act in strict adherence with TRUMPF's Telecommuting Policy.
    Stay up to date with new machine and software features.

    Experience

    The ideal candidate is solution-oriented, analytical and able to troubleshoot complex situations from remote.

    The candidate must have extensive TRUMPF product knowledge and be proficient with 3+ years of experience in technical service on TRUMPF machines.

    In-House experience is helpful. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

    Education


    Two year technical school degree with concentration in Engineering principles or suitable combination of education and work experience is needed.

    Good written and verbal communication skills are needed, a foreign language is helpful but not required.
