- Manage and validate data inputs from widely distributed operations into accounting and operational function.
- Monitor and analyze daily and weekly accounting processes and workflows both automated and manual.
- Assist with all aspects of the monthly, quarterly and yearly close process including coordination and collection of data from external sources.
- Preparation of multiple supplemental reports at period end.
- Assist with month-end analysis, quarterly and annual financial audits.
- Assist with accounting related projects including software implementations and workflow audit.
- Monitor internal control procedures and ensure segregation of duties within company.
- Work along with outside human resource partners to provide support regarding payroll, benefits, 401k or employee issues.
- Maintain daily bank deposits.
- Month and end-year process.
- Revenue and expenditure variance analysis.
- Meet financial accounting objectives.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Additional duties as required.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in relevant capacity required for consideration.
- Payroll experience preferred.
- Knowledge of UKG and GP experience an asset.
- Knowledge of IFRS is an asset.
- Maintain Fixed Asset and Long Term Schedule
- Cost accounting is an asset
- Knowledge of Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Able to deal with day to day finance transactions, such as posting payable batches, receivable batches, creating JEs.
- Ability to perform some high level banking transactions.
- Organized
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and in a fast pace environment.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to prioritize.
