Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Personal Banker.

As a Personal Banker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting them opening accounts, cross-selling Bank products and services, performing account maintenance, assisting customers with problem resolution, and closing accounts.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the financial services industry and build strong relationships with clients.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Promote the Bank to customers and prospective customers.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls.
  • Meet with customers to discuss personal financial needs and provide recommendations.
  • Crosssell products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Open new personal and business accounts, including checking, saving and CDs.
  • Open new safe deposit boxes.
  • Assist customers with online banking setup and ongoing needs.
  • Assist customers with debit card issuance, replacement and card blocks.
  • Perform maintenance on accounts (i

address changes, stop payments, etc.)

  • Process outgoing wire transfer requests.
  • Open, close and perform transactions on IRAs.
  • Process ICS & CDARS transactions.
  • Perform signature and Medallion guarantees.
  • Perform Notary Public duties, as appropriate (if commissioned).
  • Perform safe deposit box entries.
  • Review daily reports, including overdrafts, new accounts and file maintenance, etc.
  • Process overdrafts.
  • Process chargebacks/incoming returns.
  • Perform ChexSystems inquiries and Yellow Hammer Fraud Checks.
  • Perform scanning of new accounts and other documents to Synergy.
  • Perform verification and/or indexing of scanned in Synergy.
  • Input customer interactions and sales tracking to Synapsys.
  • Perform outside business development or customer service activities, on occasion.
  • Participate in onsite and offsite events to promote the Bank.
  • Perform all teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, official check purchases, savings bond redemptions, etc.

Secondary Responsibilities:


  • Perform branch and clerical duties, including opening and closing of the branch.
  • Order supplies.
  • Branch Operations Manager with duties, as assigned.
  • Backup for Teller position, as needed.

General Responsibilities:


  • Follow the Bank's core values in all aspects of work.
  • Attend branch and Bank staff meetings.
  • Remain compliant with all laws and regulations as defined in the Banks Policies and Procedures.
  • Adhere to all regulations, policies, and procedures related to BSA and Anti-Money Laundering.
  • Perform other duties as required, necessary, or later assigned for fulfillment of the Bank's strategic plan, action plan and goals.

Minimum Education Requirements, Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial banking experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve with mínimal supervision.
