    POSITION SUMMARY:
    Works under the supervision of Sr. Distribution Operations manager and is responsible for ensuring we are hitting timelines with our agency compensation responsibility.

    Will review profit sharing agreements and commission exceptions with sales and product teams, and partner with sales on many projects.

    Will be able to review all agency compensation programs, payouts, and at a detailed level and make recommendations as needed.


    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Takes initiative on reviewing, compiling, and analyzing sales compensation data to set strategy with manager on compensation and commission spending such as reduction in commission rate based on loss ratio for Kemper Auto and Kemper Personal Insurance.
    • Analyze data and make recommendations on increasing/decreasing commission or other incentives based on agency performance.
    • Oversee project status and communicating results to the team. Makes independent judgement to compare and evaluate various compensation data and make recommendations after various possibilities have been considered.
    • Effectively creates reports and PowerPoints, communicates, and presents to multiple levels of organization.
    • Will supervise two team members to ensure all responsibilities of the agency compensation team are completed with accuracy and meeting deadlines, will provide support to team members, coaching and other supervisory duties.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Undergraduate degree in Business or Marketing preferred or 3+ years equivalent work experience required.
    • 3+ years experience in Sales Operations
    • 1+ years insurance experience preferred
    • Demonstrates effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Working knowledge of insurance operations: underwriting, claims, marketing and product
    • Proficient in reports related to comp
    • Willing to use variety of tools for reporting and day to day including PowerBI, Excel, SQL.
    • Sponsorship is not available for this opportunity.
    • This is a hybrid role with monthly reporting into a local Kemper office.
