EssentialFunctionsandResponsibilitiesIncludestheFollowing:

2.Responsiblefortheoversightofpatientcareforalladmittingpatientswaitingforabedthisincludes:
a.VerifyingcorrectadmissionorderinTeletracking/trackingandtrendingofgaps
b.FacetoFaceroundingonalladmittedpatientswaitingforabed
c.Ensuringstaffingcoverageforholdpatientsinanoutpatientbed.
d.Oversightofthecareteamassignedtotheholds (roundingonthem,ensuringbreakcoverageetc.)
3.Teletrackingsuperuser
4.Responsibleforoccupiedtimermetricandcurrenthospitalgoal.
5.Dailymorningreviewofallbedsthatareblockedtoensureappropriatenessandcohortpatientswhenappropriate.
6.Supervisesallservices(patientrelatedandothers)toprovidesafe,efficientqualitycareandcollaborateswithNM/ANMtoidentifyandresolveclinicalpracticeandpersonalissuesoccurringonoffshifts.
7.AssiststhestafftobetterunderstandtherationalebehindHospital/Nursingpoliciesandprocedures
8.Providesclinical/technicalsupporttostaff.
9.AssuresappropriatestaffinglevelsonassignedshiftandsubsequentshiftincollaborationwithNurseManager/DirectorofNursingandschedulesstaffbasedonbudgetedstaffingplananddepartmentneeds.
10.Assurescompliancewithstateregulationsandaccreditationstandards.
11.Attendsandparticipatesineducationalprogramsoractivitiestomaintaincurrentlevelofknowledgeorexpertisetoremainrelevantinpractice.
12.Participatesinsharedgovernancecouncils/taskforcesasrequiredtosupporttheMagnetCulture.
13.Adherestosafetystandardsforemployeesandpatients.
14.Submitsallotherworkreportsasrequired/requestedbytheNurseManager/DivisionAdministrator.
15.Collaborateswithadmittingtoplacepatientsappropriatelybyreviewingtheteletrackingbedrequesttoensureallpertinentinformationislistedtoachieveplacingtherightpatientintherightbedthefirsttime.
16.Maintainsprompt,ongoingandeffectivecommunicationwithchargenurses/managersregardingunitadmission,transfersordischargeissues.
17.RoutinelydoeswalkingCollaborateswithNM/ANMtoidentifyandresolveclinicalpracticeandpersonalissuesoccurringonoffshiftsroundsthroughoutthehospitaltoidentifyavailablebedsandcollaborateswithteamtoimprovethruput.
18.PromotesfiscalresponsibilitybyreviewingallrequestsforconstantobservationandsupervisionatthetimeofinitiationanddoesfacetofaceroundsoneachpatientcurrentlyonaCOtoCStoensureit'sstillindicated.
19.Respondtoallcodeshouseontheoffshift.(RRT,CodeBlue,heartStat,Etc.)andwillsupportstaffandfacilitaterapidtransportofpatientstotheappropriatelevelofcare.

Education&ExperienceRequirements
·GraduatefromanaccreditedschoolofnursingwithcurrentNewYorkregistration.
·BSNrequired
·Knowledgeofcurrentnursing,medicalandhealthtrendsandpracticesinrenderingofpatientcare. ·CPR/ACLS/PALScertificationisrequired. ·Minimumfiveyearsrecentclinicalnursingexperienceinanacutehospital.
