- Maintain schedules by pay period.
- Manage PTO requests and ensure adequate coverage is secured.
- Receive and triage call-outs and maintain call-out/time off tracking
- Create, edit, and maintain nurse schedules in Makeshift (our on-line scheduling software)
- Maintain Nursing Roster and communicate weekly schedule to Concierge.
- Schedule in-house doctor appointments for residents, send appointments to doctors and their staff, send emails to families and communicate/send list to concierge weekly.
- Print Doctor's appointments and deliver to each nurse so that overnight staff can take resident's vitals prior to their appointments.
- Maintain appointment tracker (date of appointment and follow-up appointment)
- Keep abreast of new residents, move-ins, move-outs.
- Daily filing of charts
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a healthcare, nursing home or assisted living environment.
- Experience working with nursing staff is preferable.
- Problem-solving skills a must to effectively resolve staffing conflicts.
- Strong administrative skills required.
- Computer skills a must, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to quickly learn various in-house computer applications to be used for scheduling.
- Must be flexible with the capability of working evenings and weekends if necessary.
- Must communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
