    Materials Supplier Quality Engineer


    Exciting chance to join a Fortune 500 Company Our client, a local manufacturing company, is actively interviewing skilled individuals to contribute to the Supplier Management Team.

    This position is on the 2nd shift, and it includes weekend rotations and overtime, with a commitment to on-call responsibilities.

    Candidates should be prepared for onsite work as part of this exciting opportunity

    The

    Materials Supplier Quality Engineer


    will be responsible for leading efforts to drive improvements in quality strategies, objectives, and perform PPAPs (Production Part Approval Process).

    This includes reviewing supplier manufacturing processes, working in partnership with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities and providing timely updates to Engineering.

    Additionally the Engineer will work directly with suppliers on quality issues and create corrective action plans to address process failures.


    Responsibilities :


    Collaborate with Quality Engineering and Supply Chain teams to address issues as they arise, and actively identify opportunities for improvement to prevent recurrence.

    Monitoring and maintaining supplier performance metrics.

    Regularly visiting suppliers and assisting supply chain in conducting supplier audits.

    Supporting and leading the root cause analysis on quality issues.

    Address the work issue during the containment phase of the corrective action process.

    Communicating with and instructing suppliers on the use of corrective action processes, quality tools, and techniques.


    Qualifications :
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

    Three or more years of experience within Quality Engineering and Supply Chain functions.

    Familiarity with quality strategies and objectives, with a focus on PPAPs

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

    Willingness to be On-call.
