    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide general office support for litigation attorneys such as maintaining and organizing files, photocopying, managing calendars, preparing expense reports, submitting invoices for payment, scheduling depositions, conferences, and meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
    • Setting up new clients and matters, which includes running conflict checks and preparing engagement letters.
    • Preparing and finalizing basic correspondence and other necessary documents, ensuring formatting, consistency, and accuracy on time-sensitive, high-profile documents.
    • Calculating, calendaring, and tracking court and other filing deadlines.
    • Formatting, proofreading, and finalizing detailed correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents, including e-filings.
    • Organizing documents and files (both paper and electronic filing systems), creating, converting, and formatting documents.
    • Filing pleadings in state and federal courts, courts of appeals, and Supreme Courts; liaising with court staff when needed; staying updated on changes in court rules and filing procedures.
    • Knowledge of procedures and rules for filing documents in state and federal courts, along with experience filing documents in both courts.
    • Conducting general research and offering support activities to assist attorneys.
    • Other assigned duties.

    Required Competencies, Education, and Experience

    • 5+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant
    • Litigation experience in a private law firm setting
    • High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and document management systems.
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of meeting deadlines under pressure.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team with other legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys, as well as independently.
    • Providing excellent internal and external client service.
    • Clear and concise communication with a solution-oriented approach.
    • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
