    BILLING SPECIALIST

    OVERVIEW OF THE BILLING SPECIALIST ROLE:

    • As a Billing Specialist, you will be the cornerstone of our billing operations. You'll prepare, process, and generate all monthly contract invoices with precision and care.
    • Your keen eye for detail will be essential in verifying that all meters are received and correct throughout the month.
    • Take the opportunity to interact with our valued clients by making on-site visits to gather accurate meter readings.
    • Your role includes the responsibility of preparing, processing, and updating all overage cycle invoices during the month.
    • The Billing Specialist will work closely with leasing companies to complete contract invoicing, involving tasks such as uploading meter reads and invoices.
    • In this role, you will audit all approved contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy.
    • The maintenance of our FM Audit database will be a key part of your responsibilities.
    • You will also handle the processing of all credit approvals for the Sales department.
    • The Billing Specialist collaborates with various teams, including the sales team, admin team, service team, and leasing companies, to maintain an updated database encompassing contract information, meter details, equipment specifics, leasing company information, overages, and billing cycle information.
    • Take charge of reviewing and approving all outside ITT Service Vendor invoices and entering meter readings from these vendors.
    • Be a reliable source for providing meter reads to outside ITT Service Providers.
    • Maintain the promise of a quick client review information turnaround, ensuring a response within 72 hours of the receipt of requests.
    • Handle overflow incoming phone calls efficiently and effectively.
    • Provide essential reporting to our COO, including month-end, quarterly, and year-end closeouts of contract billing, as well as updating the weekly accounting scorecard report.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE BILLING SPECIALIST ROLE:

    • Possess a degree in either Accounting and/or Finance (or a minimum of 5 years of experience)
    • Minimum of 2 years work experience in the Accounting/Finance area.
    • Billing Specialist role requires the ability to work under stressful conditions & meet consistent deadlines.
    • Ability to function in fast paced & high-volume environment.
    • Exceptional customer service both internally & externally.
