The city of Glen Burnie is looking to fill the following full-time position, starting as soon as possible and ending on August 15, 2024:

Aquatics Specialist (m/f/d) at the Glen Burnie Sports and Aquatics Center

(Pay grade 7 or 8 according to TVöD-V)

This is a temporary position to cover parental leave.

The Glen Burnie Sports and Aquatics Center operates three indoor pools and one outdoor pool.

The main responsibilities of this position include:

Supervising pool operations and responding to emergencies, including rescuing and providing first aid to injured individuals
Monitoring, maintaining, and controlling technical equipment, including water treatment systems, in the pools
Cash handling
Preparing and maintaining the outdoor pool for the summer season and winterizing it for the offseason, as well as performing maintenance and cleaning
