Mechanical Design Engineer - (2-Years Contract)

Our Sensors & Controls division, located in Stratford, ON, is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team for a 2-years contract.

Under general direction, Plans technical projects in the design and development of CAD (Computer Aided Design) software, architecture and hardware limitations.

Defines and selects new approaches and implementation of CAD software engineering applications and design specifications and parameters. Develops routines and utility programs.
Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval.

May specify materials, equipment and supplies required for completion of projects and may evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.

Supports the Department's activities in mechanical design, materials science, environmental testing, reliability, and failure analysis.

Work with a variety of other geographically dispersed engineering disciplines to facilitate timely design, fabrication and deployment of subsystems products.

What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

2 years product development or other engineering related area

Ability to create models and drawings, present design reviews.
Ability to perform trade studies and design reviews.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent interpersonal skills and must be a team player.
Strong CAD Software skills for tool design.
