Scientific Environment


The professorship will be assigned to the Department of Aerospace and Geodesy at the TUM School of Engineering and Design.


Responsibilities
The responsibilities include research and teaching, as well as mentoring and promoting young researchers.

We are looking for an expert in the field of astrodynamics with a focus on research and development in the fundamentals of astrodynamics and interplanetary navigation, satellite operations, and the design and optimization of flight paths for advanced mission concepts, such as space research, satellite communication, and Earth observation.

Teaching responsibilities include participation in the bachelor's and master's programs at TUM.


Qualifications


A completed university degree, an outstanding doctorate, or a comparable special aptitude for scientific work and special pedagogical qualification are required.

International research experience is expected.
