- Compile and capture required information in the A/P system (i.e. vendor data, GL account numbers, meeting numbers, project numbers, etc.) to account for vendor invoices, speakers invoices and customer refunds in an accurate and timely manner.
- Verify proper approval authority and supporting documentation on all invoices.
- Correspond with vendors and colleagues within AMA business units in both written and verbal communication.
- Assist with vendor statement reconciliations and report the status of accounts and discrepancies
- Assist with GL account reconciliations
- Respond to ad hoc requests for reporting and financial information
- Participate in special projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Graduate plus 4 years of relevant experience Or 2 year degree in Business plus 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and financial transactions
- Technology skills: Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and personal computers required; Familiarity with Great Plains preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and maintaining accuracy
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Ability to perform in a cross-functional team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and coworkers
- Reliability and strong work ethic
- Certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
