- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of TASK's donor database (Donor Perfect), including data entry process and quality control procedures.
- Assist with data entry, donor acknowledgment, online gift processing, quality control and database management, including monitoring system performance, database maintenance and troubleshooting
- Work closely with the Development & Marketing and Finance teams to enter all donor and donation data promptly and accurately
- Assist with the monthly reconciliation of Donor Perfect with the general ledger
- Directly respond to donor inquiries via phone and email when directed
- Protect the security of confidential, computerized records of financial and in-kind donors, including their giving histories and other personal information
- Represent TASK at community outreach events that will increase engagement of donors, volunteers and community partners
- Contribute to TASK's written communications, social media, grant applications and fundraising appeals, as needed
- Strong EXCEL skills required, including the ability to manage large data sets, apply functions, create pivot tables and sort and merge data (candidate will be asked to demonstrate specific skills during the interview process)
- Donor database experience required; Donor Perfect experience preferred
- Strong writing and communication skills, self-motivation, flexibility and attention to detail and the ability to successfully handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to read and speak appropriately to fulfill the responsibilities of the position
- Ability to work as member of a team
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

The mission of the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) is to feed those who are hungry in the Trenton area and offer programs to encourage self-sufficiency and improve the quality of life of its patrons.
Development Associate
will assist with data entry and management of the organization's donor database, community outreach, communications and other fundraising responsibilities.
This position will report to the Director of Development & Marketing and work closely with the Development & Marketing team to support the organization's fundraising, marketing and community engagement efforts.
Strong writing and communication skills, self-motivation, flexibility and attention to detail and the ability to successfully handle multiple projects and deadlines are essential to this position.
Strong EXCEL skills are also required. This is a full-time, hybrid, salaried position.Note:
