Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our team. The Payroll Assistant will be responsible for supporting the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all payroll activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing payroll for employees accurately and timely
- Verify timekeeping records and consult employees about any discrepancies
- Help prepare paychecks
- Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure proper employee data management
Requirements:
- little experience as a Payroll Assistant or in a similar role
- Experience with Quickbooks
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger accounting
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working as a payroll clerk
- Knowledge of payroll systems such as UltiPro, ADP, or Paychex
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
