- Local baking manufacturer in Chicago is searching for several Production Supervisors to join a well-established Chicago based baking organization.
- This is a new facility that is fully automated that is hiring due to expansion and growth

- Salary range is 70K - 90K + bonus (based on education and experience)
- Supervise plant production line workers with an emphasis on teamwork, safety and excellent practices to produce the highest quality products
- Manage a team of 10-15 hourly employees across multiple automated packaging and processing lines
- Utilize lean and six-sigma principles to implement continuous improvement methodologies to increase production
- Analyze production runs and make suggestions for improvement
- Manage, evaluate and train staff by coaching, conducting performance appraisals, administering corrective action, and training
- Identify issues related to quality, safety, down time, production problems or any other unexpected issues.
- BS/BA degree preferred or an equivalent of 5+ years of baking leadership experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing supervision experience, must have baking experience
- Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, six-sigma or other continuous improvement tools is preferred
- Former military veterans are a plus
- Good attitude, hardworking, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to think outside the box and use root cause analysis to solve problems
- Able to work in a high-speed facility with the capability of tracking KPI's, efficiencies and implementing lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
- Computer literate in spreadsheet and word applications
- Bi-lingual English / Spanish is a plus
