    Description

    Responsibilities:

    Help Logistics Team with Daily Work Load by appointing deliveries & pickups for our in-house trucking company, review customer orders & pricing, enter customer purchase orders, review finished goods report, complete EDI -856 labels, send ASNs, fill out weekly trucking schedule, answer phones and emails. Weekly Teams Meetings. Discuss with Logistics any issues or customer requests. Must keep an organized desk & notes. The team must be able to pick up where one left off at any time.

    Overview:

    Customers will place their PO(s) with the Logistics Department where it is processed and sent to production to be made. Production will schedule the order(s) to be made, contact Logistics to send the raw materials need to produce the orders. Once completed the finished goods will be transferred to the warehouse. Logistics will check that the order has been completed and contact the customer and/or trucker to schedule a pickup/delivery appointment. The BOL(s) are pulled, handed to the warehouse manager to prepare and stage order(s). Order is than loaded onto the trucks and shipped out to customer(s).

    · Writing/Typing - Communicating effectively with customers, suppliers and employees. Proof read emails before sending. Make sure it makes sense and proper grammar is used.

    · Social Perceptiveness - Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do. To not over react to issues and/or play off of others. Calm & collective.

    · Troubleshooting - Determining cause of error and help to fix the issue.

    · Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and making the right choices.

    · Time Management - Managing your time throughout the work day, finish the most important tasks first, responding to all emails/phone calls in a timely manner.

    · Organization- Paper work, personal space, files, Bill of Ladings, Purchase Orders, Appointments, etc.

    Daily Tasks:

    · Read emails, respond to emails, help with phones, print orders, production sheets, schedule trucks, check pricing & file away orders.

    · Meet with Logistics Team to coordinate daily operations

    · Plan, schedule, and assign appointments. Review what is needed from production to meet order dates/customer requests.

    · Review Finished Product Inventory & Production Schedule for all buildings

    · Help with the purchasing of raw materials.

    · Help with creating reports, work on projects using office word or excel

    · Take part in Meetings with production team, managers, owners etc. (take notes)

    · Always be prepared to multi-task and ask if any help Is needed

    Computer / Office Skills:

    · Use of a Wind Term/Computer/Lap Top.

    · Windows Office: Outlook for email, Google Drive, Word, Excel, Sage, True Commerce use of company F: Drive, Zebra Printer, Copy Machine/Printer/Scanner, Internet, Customer's website and/or portals.

    · Telephone calls and voice mail messages. Returning calls within 24hrs. (timely manner)

    · Weekly In-House Meetings & Customer Meetings use of Teams, WebEx, Zoom, Google Meet

    Dress Code:

    · Casual Attire. No open toe shoes.

    (Office is above the main Distribution Center/Company Warehouse)
