Description

Job Title: Senior Accountant at Behr Paint Company

To excel in the role of a Senior Accountant, you need to be a reliable team player who pays attention to details, strives for precision, and finds fulfillment in streamlining processes. Collaborating effectively is essential as you will serve as the go-to expert for all general and technical accounting functions for different teams at Behr Paint Company.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, analyze, and reconcile general accounting reports, ledgers, journals, and schedules.
Manage treasury functions such as cash transfers, wires, and forecasts.
Coordinate internal audit requests and oversee external audits from various governmental bodies.
Analyze and reconcile the general ledger, including asset, liability, and profit-and-loss accounts.
Research and prepare monthly tax returns for domestic and international operations.
Handle monthly journal entries and sales commission reports.
Manage various payments and reports, including royalties, rebates, and customer returns.
Provide support to finance and executive management by creating spreadsheets, offering audit data, and preparing special reports as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience/Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
3-5 years of experience in professional accounting, manufacturing experience preferred
Experience with SAP is a plus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

In-depth understanding of accounting principles, standards, and practices
Strong attention to detail and proficiency in working with numerical data
Ability to conduct research, analyze accounting entries, and adjust reports
Analytical thinking, creativity, and independent problem-solving skills
Proactive attitude with a drive to achieve results
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Excel
Effective communication and organizational abilities
