    Job Overview - Senior Accountant


    Are you looking for a career change that excites you? Are you ready to be challenged and be presented with the opportunity to grow and develop? Our long-standing Charlotte client is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join their growing team.

    If you've got an Accounting or Finance degree and experience don't wait to apply - this role won't last long


    Responsibilities:

    • Review contracts to identify and interpret complex financial obligations
    • Ensure compliance to contract terms and commitments including, commissions, volume allowances, profit splits etc.
    • Prepare monthly journal entries, payments, and reconciliations for such contractual obligations
    • Ensure monthly profit and loss statements are an accurate reflection of the results of the period
    • Ensure balance sheet accounts reflect the correct balance and are reviewed and reconciled monthly
    • Be a leader in the department, assist peers, and act as a mentor to new or existing associates

    Requirements:

    • Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Three plus years accounting experience
    • Demonstrated process improvement experience
    • Proficient knowledge of Excel and SAP financial module
    • Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines
    • Must be a quick learner and self-motivated
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
