    Description

    Senior Accountant opportunity with rapid growth private-equity backed company based in Charlotte, North Carolina.     Duties & Responsibilities:

    · Perform monthly financial close functions through preparation of financial statements

    · Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts

    · Monthly narrative analysis of significant financial variances month over month

    · Maintain internal control safeguards over company assets and operating environment.

    · Develop, maintain, and evolve documentation of processes and procedures to produce consistent reporting of financial results of multiple business units

    · Understand and maintain ERP system operations, identifying and correcting system issues as necessary to maintain integrity of financial information.

    · Prepare and/or review workpapers and schedules to ensure audit readiness

    · Act as a Peer Advisor and mentor for new staff and provide valuable feedback

    · Providing training to non-financial personnel on internal control compliance, accounting procedures and financial statement review.

    · Any other responsibilities as assigned by leader, special projects, and ad hoc needs as they arise

    Skills and Qualifications:

    · Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting.

    · Professional accounting certification – CPA or CMA.

    · 5 to 10 Years previous accounting experience required. Public accounting experience preferred.

    · Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel, Sage-Intaact (required), Floqast, and related accounting business systems

    · Ability to work collaboratively across different departments and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

    · Critical thinker who can utilize resources and resolve issues with little supervision

    · Operating in a private-equity owned environment a strong preference.
