    WuXi TIDES is an integral part of WuXi STA, a subsidiary of WuXi AppTec. WuXi TIDES offers our worldwide partners efficient, flexible, and high-quality solutions for the drug development of oligonucleotides, peptides and related synthetic conjugates (TIDES drugs). We greatly simplify the TIDES drug development by providing all discovery, CMC development and the entire manufacturing supply chain under one roof.

    We are looking for a Head of Marketing and Communications wholl lead WuXi STA (including WuXi TIDES) global marketing and communication activities from social media and digital campaigns to advertising and creative projects. The Head of Marketing and Communications responsibilities include developing plans to help increase our brand value, allocating resources to different projects and setting short-term and long-term department goals. Ultimately, you will run our Marketing department in ways that promote higher profitability and competitiveness.

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for marketing strategies, positioning and execution

    Develop and provide oversight on marketing tactics to execute the strategy

    Responsible for developing branding, image and positioning for WuXi STA and WuXi TIDES to align with the companys strategic plan

    Active participation in strategic teams to ensure we are targeting the right customers, and creating appropriate competitive market messaging

    Work closely with senior management, technical groups and operations to assure objectives and goals are achieved

    Set, monitor and report on marketing team goals. Provides leadership development and management of staff

    Contributes to the overall operations and to the achievement of company goals

    Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the Marketing department

    Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share.

    Monitor competition (acquisitions, pricing changes and new products and features).

    Design sales collateral and training material for global BD team. Coordinate BD and marketing efforts.

    Qualifications

    Job Requirements:

    15 + years of experience at a pharmaceutical company orContract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) or equivalent with established track record in leading a team.

    Strong scientific expertise and new drug development insight

    A professional degree in science or pharmaceuticals - BA/BS required, M.S. or above preferred

    Certain professional training/experience in business such as M.B.A is preferred.

    Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

    Strategic thinking

    Understanding of how to implement plans

    Excellent Oral & Written communication skills

    Need to be able to read, write and understand English

    Proficient in Microsoft Office

    Travel is required 10%-30%, Domestic/International

    Physical Requirements:

    Must be able to work in an indoor office setting

    Must be able to work in environment with minimal noise levels
