    The Fort Sill Apache Tribe has several organizations including:

    Apache Casino Hotel is known as one of the premier and friendliest gaming properties in Southwest Oklahoma. Since it's opening in 1999, the property has seen continual growth in both gaming and non-gaming assets. The property currently offers over 860 slot machines, 9 table games, a luxurious 132 room hotel with 225 occupancy banquet space, two delicious restaurants, coffee shop and a convenience store.

    The newest addition to this very successful property is the 1,200 seat multi-purpose Event Center. Featuring top of the line finishes and offering a venue for local, regional and national concerts, banquets, trade shows, expos and much more.

    The Apache Markets are full service convenience stores. We have 2 locations: Lawton, Oklahoma and Anadarko, Oklahoma.

    Apache Homelands is a full service casual dining restaurant and smoke shop in Deming, New Mexico.

    Summary

    Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Specialist II is responsible for a variety of human resources activities with emphasis in the areas of team member relations and engagement. The Human Resources Specialist II will be a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and conflict management skills. They will have excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

    The Human Resources Specialist II will ensure the organization follows all applicable federal, state, and local employment related laws as well as the policies and procedures of Apache Casino Hotel.

    Position Requirements

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in related area and at least 2-years combined Human Resources experience; or an equivalent combination of training, education, and progressively responsible Human Resources experience as an HR Specialist or Generalist, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
    • Become proficient with the HRIS program; write, run, and submit reports as needed.
    • Assist with budget monitoring and payroll.
    • Advanced computer skills including advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
    • Conduct trainings on various HR related subjects and assist with orientation as needed.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Proficient with resource information database system (HRIS/HRMS).
    • Proficient HRIS report writing & ability to quickly learn ACH HRIS report writing.
    • Maintain organizational charts
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
    • Strong presentation skills.

    • Must be able to work weekends and evenings when needed.
    • Coordinate employee development plans, performance management and investigations.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
    Essential Functions
    • Portray a positive attitude under all circumstances, understand and represent the core values of Apache Casino Hotel, and always live the mission of providing exceptional service.
    • Work closely with HR team members to ensure a high level of accuracy and customer satisfaction.
    • Input transactional recruiting, onboarding, job changes and termination data into the human resources information system, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
    • Coordinate job listings and conduct onboarding activities for new hires; assist with exit interviews with departing team members as needed.
    • Identify suitable candidates through application screening for minimum qualifications and conduct pre-screening interviews as needed.
    • Assist in maintaining files.
    • Provide various reporting data and analytics to the HR Director.
    • Understand and comply with casino and departmental policies and procedures.
    • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by HR Director.
    • Organize and/or assist with Job Fairs on and off property.
    • Coordinate, &/or assist with all team member parties, team member and HR functions on and off the property.
    • Track performance reviews.
    • Assist with benefits and compensation when needed.
    • Regular attendance is required.
