Department
Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences
Responsibilities
Engaging in a well-defined scholarship agenda with a focus on career pathways, career and technical education, school-to-work transitions, applied degrees such as A.S.
degrees at two-year colleges, and/or postsecondary-workforce alignment/outcomes;Teaching graduate courses in face-to-face and/or online programs including content and/or research methodology courses;
Advising graduate students in MS, online EdD, and PhD programs;
Serving on student graduate committees, including chairing EdD and PhD student dissertations;
Providing service to the university, the department, the college, and the profession;
Developing and submitting grant proposals to potential funding agencies.
Qualifications
Earned doctorate in educational leadership/administration, education policy, or similar education and/or social science disciplines
Experience securing and managing federal, state, or private grants focused on career and technical education and/or postsecondary-workforce alignment/outcomes
Evidence of high-quality scholarship (e.g., recent publications in peer-reviewed journals, working papers, recent presentations at national or international conferences)
Ability to teach courses on education policy and evaluation, higher education, and/or research methodology
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with mentorship, in preparation for chairing EdD and PhD student dissertations
Experience with online/hybrid instruction as a student or instructor
Experience in working with state departments of education, state college systems, and/or state departments of economic opportunity/ workforce development.
