    **Position Summary:**

    Gastamo Group is searching for energetic, responsible, and visionary Lead Line Cooks to join its team. Gastamo Group is a locally owned and operated restaurant group in Denver, Colorado with a strong focus on fresh and local ingredients. We are a fast-growing company, opening new locations and concepts each year which provides ample opportunity for growth.

    The ideal candidate will have experience working all stations of a kitchen including prep, line cook , expo, and dishwashing. Individuals will work in a fast-paced environment providing a timely preparation of food product. Individuals must have experience working on a team and will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards while providing a high-quality food product.

    This position is non-exempt and reports to the Kitchen Manager, the General Manager and the Director of Operations. All Gastamo Group restaurants utilize a tip-pool, compensation for this position ranges from $20-$24 per hour including tips.

    **General Duties and Responsibilities:**

    All duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Preps assigned items, to include but not limited; to washing raw food products, peeling, dicing, shredding, cutting, and slicing food products.

    When prep is finished; properly label, date, rotate, and store all items.

    Prior to service, ensures items needed for shift are stocked and located at designated station.

    Responsible for all facets of assigned station; i.e. hot food, cold food items, dessert. Correctly prepares all food served following standard recipes.

    Assists in conducting inventory, receiving and stocking product.

    Ensures kitchen is clean and properly stocked.

    Performs additional daily cleaning assignments; including stoves, ovens, refrigerators, and storage areas.

    Adheres to safety and sanitary procedures set forth by management and the health department.

    Assists with selection, training, motivation, development, and coaching of staff.

    Completes other tasks/duties as assigned.

    **Requirements:**

    Minimum 2 years previous cooking experience and a minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.

    Ability to speak and understand English preferred.

    **Physical Demands:**

    Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.

    Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operate phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment.

    Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone and in person
