    Our company is in search of an experienced Senior Transportation Project Manager to join our dynamic team in various Florida locations, including Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Tampa, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, or West Palm Beach. We are looking for a dedicated individual who will play a pivotal role in expanding and supporting our traffic and transportation practice, serving a diverse clientele comprising private and public sector developers, corporations, and institutional clients for their real estate development initiatives. In this capacity, you will oversee office management while driving revenue growth for our newly established Transportation division.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and execute the planning and permitting of traffic and transportation engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects.
    • Effectively manage multiple projects, ensuring they stay within budget, adhere to schedules, and meet deadlines. Generate progress reports, draft change orders, prepare invoices and project billings, and assist in payment collections.
    • Collaborate with staff to assess project feasibility based on preliminary data analysis. Prepare and refine reports, specifications, plans, and designs.
    • Lead staff interviews and hiring processes.
    • Foster productive interactions with clients, contractors, subcontractors, staff, project personnel, supervisors, and other office teams. Actively engage in technical presentations and contribute written articles for internal and external publications.
    • Perform additional duties as required, including proficiently organizing, writing, and editing draft proposals, reports, and various documents.
    • Engage in identifying and pursuing new clients, learning to expand existing projects, and participating in business development meetings with both current and potential clients.
    • Provide direct supervision and guidance to junior staff members on specific project assignments. Offer coaching, training, and motivation to team members working on Traffic and Transportation projects.

    Qualifications

    • P.E. License in the state of Florida
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a Master's degree in Traffic and Transportation as a plus.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Traffic Engineering and Transportation Planning, encompassing traffic/transportation engineering, traffic impact studies, traffic signal warrants, parking studies, driveway design, and traffic signal design.
    • Familiarity with Florida state permitting regulations and FDOT guidelines and protocols for traffic impact analysis and highway design.
    • Proficient in public speaking, with desirable experience in public testimony.
    • Exceptional multitasking skills, capable of managing multiple clients and projects, along with the ability to develop and oversee project budgets.
    • Knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation is advantageous.
    • Demonstrated ability to coach and support staff members.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Strong attention to detail, coupled with outstanding analytical and judgment skills.
    • Competent in working both independently and as part of a team.
    • Reliable transportation for client meetings and site visits, along with a valid driver's license in good standing. Occasional travel and participation in fieldwork may be required.
