    Kelly Engineering is in the lookout for an experienced Regional Service Manager for a direct-hire position with a top power systems solutions provider in Crown Point, Indiana.     About the Company:

    Our client excels in the creation, execution, and maintenance of distributed power solutions, particularly focusing on gas engine stations and combined heat and power (CHP) systems. They are widely known as a major distributor for INNIO Jenbacher in the Midwest, prioritizing environmentally friendly energy advancements like biogas refinement and peak-load power stations, aiming to deliver robust and efficient energy support.

    The Service Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Service team to provide cost-effective, customer-centric service to clients in the Midwestern USA, ensuring consistently high-quality services.

    Main Duties:

    • Direct and supervise the Service department, managing the performance and growth of the service team.
    • Guarantee that service operations meet promised availability and margin expectations, upholding superior service standards across the Midwest.
    • Offer regular updates on ongoing projects, leveraging expertise to address challenges and implement resolutions.
    • Act as the representative of the Service department in client meetings, offering technical knowledge to ensure successful outcomes.
    • Contribute to the formulation of yearly budgets, quarterly forecasts, and other financial performance measures.
    • Ensure proper handover of new installations from Projects to Service.
    • Ensure all Service personnel comprehend and comply with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality management policies and procedures.
    • Ensure adherence to customer protocols and procedures for all tasks, including emergencies.
    • Consistently enhance the technician evaluation, training, and tier system.
    • Implement the local project strategy for any new product Service offerings.
    • Enhance the technician training program continuously, including an apprentice initiative.
    • Maintain conformity to best practices, procedures, and quality standards by all service team members.
    • Conclude the annual performance evaluation process for the Field Service team, aligning goals and development plans with company objectives.
    • Engage with relevant personnel to bolster the distributor relationship, including training, technical support, warranty, and prediction.
    • Optimize and enhance the procurement process with key suppliers to maximize savings and margins.
    • Provide Service Manager with data for the Midwest US region as needed.
    • Participate in global service meetings when necessary.
    • Support the Managing Director in establishing a resilient Service function and team in the Midwest.
    • Undertake any additional tasks delegated by the Service Manager and Managing Director.

    Essential Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5 years of Field Service engineering experience with knowledge in electrical and mechanical engineering.
    • At least 10 years of experience in the service industry.
    • Thorough understanding of internal combustion engines and generators.
    • Proficiency in Power Generation and CHP.
    • Desired: Familiarity with INNIO Jenbacher, MAN Product, and RNG equipment.
    • Experience in service pricing modeling and contract documentation creation.
    • Proven experience in remote management of a team of service technicians.
    • Extensive background in cultivating customer relations.
    • Expertise in performance and change management.
    • Proficiency in basic computer usage and technological platforms/software.
    • Authorization to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
