    Responsibilities

    State Farm Litigation Counsel, the in-house legal team for State Farm Insurance Companies, is looking for a trial attorney with 2-10 years of experience in civil litigation and trials to join our office in Crown Point, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial strategies, along with exceptional written and verbal advocacy skills. Strong candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing time-sensitive caseloads. This role involves a hybrid work environment, combining in-office and remote work, with potential adjustments based on business requirements.

    Qualifications

    • Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and excellent academic record
    • Active Indiana law license in good standing with the state bar
    • 2-10 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense
    • Ability to present and cross-examine witnesses is advantageous
    • Experience in a paperless work setting
    • Proficiency in managing support staff for administrative tasks related to lawsuits
    • Strong tech skills for lawsuit management and courtroom presentations
    • Preference for Illinois bar license and/or bilingual capabilities
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
    • Salary range: $110,550-$184,800
    • Potential annual bonus of up to 16% of base salary
