About the Role

Responsibilities

Provide legal counsel and representation to the firm's clients from pretrial through trial
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, written discovery, and agreements
Attend court hearings, depositions, trials, and client meetings
Conduct legal research and case analysis
Collaborate with senior associates and partners on case strategy
Contribute to business development and client relationship management

What You will Need to Succeed

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active membership in the Illinois State Bar
25 years' experience in the defense of medical malpractice cases or practicing healthcare law
Strong understanding of State and Federal court rules and procedures
Strong litigation, negotiation, and problemsolving skills
Excellent legal research and writing skills
Exceptional oral and written communication
