The city of Falls Church, VA is seeking a Project Manager for the Department of Education and Integration, as part of the Ministry of Economy, Labor, and Energy's funding program "Welcome to Brandenburg (WIB) - A Counseling Service for People with Migration Backgrounds".

This position is subject to funding approval and is available from January 1, 2023 until December 31, 2025. The weekly working hours are full-time.


Responsibilities:
I. Management of the "Welcome to Falls Church" project

  • Strategic development of the project
  • Supervision and management of staff:
  • Team building and development
  • Structuring and leading team meetings
  • Coordination of tasks and workflows
  • Facilitation of internal processes to ensure efficient collaboration within the team and with other projects within the department
  • Strategic planning for the implementation of subprojects and measures
  • Ensuring goal achievement through standard project management methods
  • Representation of the project in the political sphere and in local, national, and international cooperation with relevant organizations and institutions
II. Networking to establish joint network structures for the task of "Skilled and Labor Immigration and Labor Market Integration"

  • Identification and presentation of all networks and actors in the abovementioned areas
  • Participation and establishment of own network rounds in the abovementioned areas
  • Coordination of tasks and responsibilities in networks/working groups (avoidance/minimization of duplicate structures/work)
