    We're looking for a seasoned Sr. Manager of Data Infrastructure to join Procore's Data Mesh division. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to help run and expand the Procore platform by building and operating critical data infrastructure components that power our customer-facing products.

    As a Sr. Manager of Data Infrastructure , you'll partner with other engineering teams and product managers to help develop and execute on our data infrastructure roadmap. You'll use your leadership skills to build and operate our data platform that enables the secure and reliable storage, movement, and retrieval of data for transactional, analytical, and machine learning applications. To be successful in this role, you're passionate about building highly effective teams with experience in managing distributed systems including storage and streaming data technologies, with a strong bias for action and outcomes.

    This position reports to the Director, Data Mesh and will be based in our Austin, TX office. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.

    What you'll do:
    • Participate in the design and implementation of our data platform, primarily focused on database management, data lake operations, streaming, and batch data processing
    • Lead our engineering team in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, functional and technical design, development, testing and roll-out, and support; deliver value in an iterative and agile fashion
    • Enable developers to more quickly and effectively build and operate their software at scale by providing self-service data infrastructure capabilities
    • Help identify and propose solutions for technical gaps in our data platform by managing proof of concepts and experiments
    • Work alongside our Product, UX, and other engineering teams, leveraging your experience and expertise in the data space to influence our product roadmap, developing innovative solutions that add additional capabilities to Procore
    • Coach, support, and uplevel teammates through providing regular feedback, mentorship, training, and other career development opportunities; as well as removing barriers to progress
    • Stay up to date with the latest data technology trends
    What we're looking for:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, or comparable work experience
    • 8+ years of experience building and operating cloud-based, highly available, and scalable data platforms supporting large amounts of data at enterprise-grade companies serving millions of users
    • 3+ years of experience directly managing engineers
    • Solid understanding of operating relational and non-relational databases (i.e. PostgreSQL, Neo4j, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, Snowflake, etc.) and streaming (Kafka, Flink) and batch (Spark) technologies at scale
    • Understanding of data access patterns, infrastructure-as-code, site reliability engineering, security, and cost optimization
    • Strong ability to lead and support others, influence platform decisions, and uplevel talent
    • Strong passion for learning, always open to new technologies and ideas
    Qualifications

    Additional Information

    Base Pay Range $185,800 - $255,475. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
