Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the daily accounting operations and all areas of financial reporting. This includes reviewing financial statements, preparing reports for upper management and Operations as well as coordinating with the shared services group. This position reports to the Director of Finance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide weekly and monthly financial reporting including tracking of cash metrics, AR and CIE aging and DSO, as required, and requested.
Prepare and/or review account reconciliations.
Oversee the Billing team to ensure the accurate, complete, and timely preparation of customer invoices and submission to customer portals. Responsible for coordinating all activities related to customer collections, including weekly status meetings.
Advise operations and project management of any critical issues and prepare financial, cost and profitability reports for presentation to management.
Ensure all relevant project/contract and customer data and reports are accurate, consistent, timely, and made available to operations and project management on a routine and as-needed basis.
Generates, maintains, and provides adequate backup for management, internal and external accounting, and/or SOX requirements.
Provide controls of projects in accordance with Primoris Policies and Procedures and all associated SOX approvals, processes, and documentation.
Participate in project meetings (project reviews, status meeting, progress review, etc.) along with project management.
Provide necessary support for customer audits, internal and external quarterly and annual audits.
Oversee AP and payables function to help ensure proper coding, vendor set up and review of weekly check runs.
Ensure all intercompany transactions are recorded timely.

EDUCATION & MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

BS in Accounting or related discipline is required.
A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in the construction industry working in project accounting and controls is preferred.
Proficiency and knowledge of cost/planning/control and reporting techniques, specifically project accounting practices and use of financial systems is a plus.
Proficient computer skills using MS Office products, especially Excel, is required.
Experience using ERP systems. Viewpoint is a plus.
Proven accuracy, reliability, and completeness in job accomplishment, as well as the ability to work independently and follow through on assignments is a must
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Able to interact with all levels of management.
Effective oral and written communication skills as well as excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills
Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range $127-156K base
