Description
The Credentialing Coordinators primary responsibility is to oversee and complete credentialing applications for both initial appointments and re-credentialing for all licensed providers.
Additionally, the Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for keeping all relevant stakeholders informed about physician credentialing status and collaborating with hospital credentialing departments to ensure the maintenance of provider privileges.
Essential Functions:
Facilitate and complete credentialing applications for initial appointments and re-credentialing processes for all licensed providers.
Maintain thorough documentation and records of credentialing applications and processes.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to keep them informed about the status of physician credentialing.
Collaborate with hospital credentialing departments to ensure that provider privileges are maintained according to established standards and requirements.
Work closely with the Practice Management Director to streamline and optimize the credentialing process.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Participate in meetings and discussions related to physician credentialing and staffing as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in physician credentialing or medical staff services.
Knowledge of credentialing processes, regulations, and standards.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience working in a healthcare setting.
Onsite, Monday to Friday | 8am-5pm | 3-6 month contract with possible extension
Pay Details:
