    Job Summary:

    The Accounting Specialist plays a crucial role in the financial operations of the organization, handling a variety of accounting tasks with accuracy and efficiency. This role involves maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. General Ledger Management:
      • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
      • Record and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
      • Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data.
    2. Financial Reporting:
      • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
      • Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
      • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
    3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
      • Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
      • Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
      • Ensure timely and accurate payment processing and collections.
    4. Reconciliation:
      • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
      • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
    5. Compliance and Audit Support:
      • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
      • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
    6. Financial Analysis:
      • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
      • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data and trends.
    7. Process Improvement:
      • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
      • Implement best practices to streamline accounting processes.
    8. Administrative Support:
      • Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including filing, scanning, and managing correspondence.
      • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
