- Overall responsibility for project execution, ensuring the project is delivered within the contract requirements, standards of quality and safety, and/or IPM performance expectations.
- The development of quotes and schedules, manages performance, Document progress, and initiates action to ensure project objectives and schedules are met. Ensure work is performed within budget and according to the project specifications.
- Direct communication as the point of contact for Exact Metrology customers and internal team for assigned projects.
- Serve as a filter between the customer and internal Application Engineers to minimize creep in project scope and/or deliverables. Identify, communicate, record project cost, any applicable out of scope cost.
- Obtain concurrence within the project team members, Exact management team and customer on actions to be taken during project execution.
- Utilize project management software (i.e., Microsoft Teams, NetSuite, Concur, Paylocity) to effectively manage project schedules, open contractual issues, commitments, completion status, safety records and other related document control items as required.
- Identify critical path milestones, set targets for delivery of these milestones (both internal and external) and hold EM vendors and customers accountable for their commitments.
- Establish and maintain professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate personnel.
- Participate in the process of quoting and estimating for work that pertains to assigned projects.
- Audit outside subcontractors to ensure progress towards schedule and compliance with any applicable standards or specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline desired, or equivalent technical experience
- PMP Certification desirable
- Exceptional leadership skills and strong communication skills.
- Ability to think ahead and action oriented.
- Experience with mechanical assembly or trades type environment; Solid mechanical aptitude.
- Proficient computer-based skills, such as e-mail, Microsoft outlook, word, excel and Project Management software as required.
- Engineering, operations/maintenance, construction, project controls, Blueprint reading and/or procurement experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience in managing projects in a related industry.
- Understanding of job budgeting, costing and performance metrics reporting.
- Understanding of job scheduling, project workflow and software to manage assigned responsibilities.
- Familiarity with the constraints and unique characteristics of working in a nuclear and heavy industry environment, preferred.
- Oversee Team members project performance, provide employee reviews and help build team members skill set.

A Product Manager at Exact Metrology is responsible for leading specific segment of business, Involving multiple technical disciplines or multi-functional interfaces. The Product Manager is the main point of contact on the client/customer facing side and the main point of accountability on the business/delivery aspects of the work.
As a Product Manager, you will directly interface with the Exact Metrology customer and internal product team(s) to guide, direct and consult as required to oversee assigned projects to successful completion. This includes being responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering the project(s) from the conceptual stages through planning, quoting start-up, performance testing, shipping, Data capture, Processing, data delivery a project completion. The Product Manager is responsible for the ultimate success of the project(s) and must exhibit and enforce a culture where quality and safety are the top priorities

Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible related experience. Specifically, this position requires:
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as basic math, layout functions, fractions, decimals, angles, percentages, and ratios.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret various specifications and information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. These include forklift traffic, overhead cranes, machining, welding, fumes, airborne particles, moving of mechanical parts and moderate noise. The work is performed indoors in a shop environment or a customer site both indoors and outdoors. Will spend a minimal amount of time outdoors in hot, cold, or otherwise inclement weather during part of the workweek.
