    Job Description

    Psychiatrist

    Purpose & Scope:

    The Psychiatrist is a vital member of the healthcare team, collaborating with other staff to deliver comprehensive healthcare services to patients. The role's scope is determined by the health system's credentialing and privileging committee.

    The Psychiatrist contributes to the objectives, budget, and performance metrics at an individual level. They oversee all medical activities including maintaining quality control standards, implementing risk management, and ensuring compliance. The primary goal is to deliver high-quality clinical care to patients at VHC Health promptly.

    Education:

    Doctorate from Accredited Medical School is a mandatory requirement.

    Experience:

    A minimum of one year of Medical/Surgical experience is necessary.

    Certifications/Licensure:

    Must be licensed to Practice Medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
