    Salary Range: $63,000-$85,000

    At Midland States Bank, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This opportunity offers additional compensation through short-term incentives like bonuses, commissions, and potential long-term incentives such as stock awards. The benefits package includes comprehensive healthcare, well-being benefits, paid family leave, as well as generous paid time off. You'll also enjoy banking perks, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, a 401K plan with company match, and the chance to participate in the Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation plan. These incentives and benefits are subject to eligibility criteria.

    Position Summary

    Seeking a dynamic Banking Center Manager who is a proven leader with a history of success. This role involves setting and achieving business development goals, leading and coaching a team of sales and service professionals to exceed targets, providing mentorship within the region, ensuring operational excellence in the banking center, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

The ideal candidate will focus on building strong, enduring relationships by engaging customers positively, providing knowledgeable service, and always prioritizing the customer's best interests.

    Primary Accountabilities

    • Direct the staff to identify customers' financial needs effectively.
    • Establish expectations, goals, and career development plans for the branch staff to foster a collaborative environment where team members work together towards business goals.
    • Drive portfolio growth by spotting cross-sell opportunities, guiding the team in building deeper relationships, increasing client acquisition and retention, and leveraging professional relationships to drive new business.
    • Collaborate with business partners to enhance sales, integrating different units into the branch team to meet client expectations.
    • Show expertise in lending products, including consumer and real estate secured lending.
    • Create and implement a successful business plan that identifies market opportunities, engages the team and partners, and leverages bank resources to increase market share in the community.
    • Proven success in acquiring new business clients, expanding existing banking relationships, and developing COI relationships.
    • Provide timely, candid feedback to employees through regular check-ins, meetings, and coaching sessions.
    • Review branch activity reports to meet profit and performance objectives.
    • Promote an engaged, inclusive, and well-coached team to ensure workforce stability.
    • Engage in community activities and foster relationships as a local leader.
    • Drive sales through exceptional service, achieve personal and team goals, and monitor sales opportunities.
    • Recommend a range of products and services to customers confidently.
    • Participate in promoting various programs, client relationships, and community activities.
    • Lead district initiatives to enhance processes and results.
    • Complete all assigned learning activities promptly.
    • Actively engage in coaching sessions and huddles.
    • Act as a backup Center Manager in other locations.
    • Exemplify the bank's core values in all interactions.
    • Occasional travel required for training and meetings.
    • Comply with all applicable regulations, including BSA.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Position Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

    • Five years of sales management experience with a strong sales track record, both individually and as a team leader.
    • Five years of retail sales and customer service experience.
    • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration required.

    Ability to:

    • Stand for extended periods.
    • Lift and transport coin and currency bags as necessary.
