- Coordinate patient care through the Activity Rooms, exam rooms, lab room and X-ray procedures.
- Maintain electronic medical records – update address, allergies, phone number and each visit.
- Measure vital signs (i.e., Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Oxygen saturation, Height and Weight, waist circumference, etc.) on each patient and record in electronic medical record. Provides and assists in simple wound management, blood draws, immunizations, EKGs, specimen collection and other clinical skills within approved scope of practice.
- Share information gathered from patients with appropriate IDT members.
- Schedule patients follow up appointments.
- Prepares examination rooms; select, setup and maintain medical supplies and equipment for all examinations and procedures.
- Check inventory and order laundry, medical supplies, and materials. Assists in ordering of DME and Home Health supplies.
- Observes, monitors, and enforces infection control practices and universal precautions.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Salary Range: PPB
Job Summary: Has the responsibility for providing direct and indirect nursing care to assigned patients. Works under the direct and indirect supervision of the Center Manager/Program Director or designee but is independent in the application of advanced nursing knowledge and skills. Manages complex clinical situations for which he/she is responsible.
Specifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification/registration or licensure as a Medical Office Assistant.
Experience: Has practiced as an MOA in a geriatric population environment in the last 3 years; 3 years MOA experience with at least 1 year of experience working with the frail elderly population. Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant (MA).
Number and Type of Employees Supervised (optional): None
Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: MOA currently registered in North Carolina; presents credentials which demonstrate ability to meet performance criteria for MOA
