Experience

Recently, I have just finished fall semester with a 4.0, I have been a member of Tau Sigma and Phi Sigma Pi honor societies through UNCG for the past two years. I'm also an academic mentor this school year  to six UNCG students and I'm wrapping up my dual BA's from UNCG in the Humanities and Psychology in Summer Session 1. In January, I began a 12- month unpaid remote Clinical Research Associate Internship with the CRA Academy based in Yuma, AZ as a CRA Intern working on real life clinical studies in the electronic interface and also working as a Chief Nephrology and Orthopedic medical scribe for two medical doctors within the University of Texas Medical Branch system. Prior to this I’ve worked as a Lead Pathology Lab Assistant handling and testing clinical patient specimen fluids and have extensive  Pharmacy Technican experience. I've decided regulatory writing in the life sciences is my goal as I continue a very non-traditional pre-med track. My 5- 10 year plan is to become a Clinical Research Associate who oversees a variety clinical trials and serves as the intermediary between clinical sites and the FDA, and I later want to pursue medical school to become a medical doctor and Principal Investigator designing and leading clinical trials within underserved and underrepresented populations in the US, e.g. people of color, women and the elderly population particular studying niched body systems and chronic diseases that typically go under- looked for these individuals such as depression, nephrology and oncological studies to name a few.

I'm Basic Life Support Certified, CPR/ AED/ First- Aid certified, certified in Good Clinical Practice and Advanced Clinical Trial Assistant certified through the company, Advanced eClinicals. I’m currently In the process of completing my certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant with Advanced eClinical Training on track to complete at the end of April 2024. I've also just been pre-selected with International Medical Aid to shadow doctors in Mombasa, Kenya this Winter, rotating different specialities for a 2-month period and leading clinical community workshops at primary schools and with neighboring community members. In addition to shadowing and rotating specialities, I'll lead clinical workshops on the importances and detailings of hygiene, the female reproductive system and the anatomy and physiology of how their cycles work, and other generalist aspects of community healthcare workshops. Lastly, I've recently been accepted to UNC Wilmington to pursue my third Bachelor's  degree, a BS in Clinical Research and will begin in the fall as a senior. I've still got a reserve in roll-over scholarships for  undergrad so I figure it's best to use it all. UNCW  also has a post- baccalaureate program in Medical and Science writing I'm wanting to start in Fall or Spring alongside my Clinical Research coursework, how cool is that! Attached are documents of many of these certifications and recent achievements uploaded into a single .pdf file via Adobe, as well as a link to my LinkedIn page for which I hope to stay connected with you and maintain a professional relationship in the many years to come.

Education

UNCG, Dual BA’s in Psychology and Humanities to complete remaining 8 credits Summer 2024 Session 1. I’m a Tau Sigma Omicron chapter National Honors Society member and Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Society member. During my time at UNCG I was also an Academic Mentor via The Mentor Collective.

UNCW, BS Clinical Research. Recently accepted to begin Fall 2024 as a Senior.
