- Deploy certified cells. Maintain and utilize the company's "cell certification matrix" to measure and communicate progress. (This will be explained further in the interview process)
- Facilitate Kaizen events.
- Coach and train employees on Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Coach, train, and certify employees on problem-solving methodologies focused on the root cause and permanent countermeasures.
- Use six sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement activities with a data-driven approach to ensure the sustainability of results.
- Actively participate in the Mini-Kaizen program, working behind the scenes as a coach and mentor to improve engagement and motivate employees.
- Take an active role in improving 5S culture, including facilitating red tag events, training employees, actively communicating areas for improvement, including 5S action items in daily Gemba walks, etc.
- Inspire the organization by sharing improvement successes and best practices with the broader community and organization. Celebrate team successes.
- Participate in global operations teams, including the 5S and Kaizen teams.
- Participate in new equipment deployment and plant layout activities to maximize the use of space, operator movement, and efficiency.
- Bachelors degree in an engineering or related business discipline required.
- Ten years manufacturing experience, with at least five years as a leader for various lean activities.
- Strong proficiency in the deployment of Lean Manufacturing tools. Six Sigma Black Belt certification a plus.
- A Strong understanding of statistics and design-of-experiments preferred. Proven problem-solving capabilities required.
- Natural change agent with strong mentoring skills.
- Experience facilitating 5S programs.
- Effective project and time management skills.
- Ability to develop financial models to display CI project benefits.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective training materials.
- Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Job Scope: In this role, you will be driving continuous improvement activities which will result in increased production efficiencies, quality, delivery, safety, OEE Improvement, and cost reduction. This will be achieved through certifying Green Belts and training leaders/participants in continuous improvement methodologies throughout all functional areas of the plant. In addition, an essential aspect of this role will be to develop and deploy "cellular manufacturing" across all facilities, encompassing 100% of production. Finally the improvement of problem-solving skills through true root cause within the culture will be a long-term and continuous goal.
